At the installation site in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, a rotary drum granulation line and an extrusion granulation line delivered by Huaqiang Heavy Industry stand side by side. One system utilizes wet granulation to process organic-inorganic compound fertilizers, while the other employs dry extrusion for high-nitrogen and high-phosphorus formulations; these complementary processes create a highly flexible fertilizer production matrix.

The core of the rotary drum granulation line lies in the agglomeration of materials into spheres within the rotating drum. By controlling the drum's rotation speed, inclination angle, and water spray volume, powdered materials continuously roll, coat, and grow, ultimately forming granules with excellent sphericity. This process is particularly well-suited for organic fertilizers, organic-inorganic compound fertilizers, and low-to-medium concentration compound fertilizers, offering high granulation rates and producing smooth, round granules that yield stable, high-quality finished products after drying and screening. The large rotary drum unit and its supporting conveyor belt system visible on-site serve as the hardware infrastructure for this process.
Adjacent to it, the extrusion granulation line follows a "drying-free" approach. Materials are compressed into sheets by high-pressure twin rollers and subsequently crushed and screened to produce irregular granules. Requiring neither water addition nor drying, this process offers low energy consumption and a streamlined workflow; it is ideal for granulating heat-sensitive or high-concentration raw materials—such as urea, ammonium chloride, and monoammonium phosphate—and effectively avoids the high energy costs associated with drying in tropical, high-humidity environments.
The two production lines share batching, conveying, and screening stages, allowing the client to switch flexibly based on order requirements: producing high-concentration extruded granules during peak seasons and switching to organic compound fertilizers during off-peak periods, thereby boosting both equipment utilization and market responsiveness. During the design phase, Huaqiang Heavy Industry fully accounted for local raw material characteristics and climatic conditions in Indonesia; by prioritizing "process suitability" and "equipment reliability," the company delivers truly practical, customized equipment solutions to its overseas clients.
