During the use of rotary drum granulator, particle uniformity directly affects the quality and use effect of fertilizers, and this goal can be achieved through multi-link control.
1. Raw material pretreatment needs to be strictly controlled. In organic fertilizer production line or compound fertilizer processing, a crusher is used to evenly crush raw materials such as livestock and poultry manure, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium to avoid different agglomeration speeds due to large differences in particle size. At the same time, the moisture content is accurately adjusted to 40%-45%. Too high moisture content is easy to form large lumps, and too low moisture content is difficult to granulate. Stable humidity is the basis for uniform particles.
2. Mixing and stirring should be thorough. Put the raw materials and binders into the fertilizer mixer and mix them evenly to make the binder uniformly distributed in the material, avoid excessive or weak local bonding force, and prevent uneven particle size. The mixing effect can be improved by extending the mixing time or optimizing the structure of the mixing equipment.
3. Drum parameter setting is the key. Reasonably adjust the drum speed. If the speed is too fast, the centrifugal force of the material will be too large, and the particles will be easily thrown out and broken; if the speed is too slow, the material will not roll enough and it will be difficult to form uniform particles. At the same time, the inclination angle of the drum must be appropriate. If the angle is too large, the material will move forward quickly and the granulation time will be short; if the angle is too small, the material will stay for a long time and it will be easy to form large particles. It needs to be accurately set according to the production capacity and material properties.
4. The spray system needs to be precisely controlled. Ensure that the sprayed water or solution is evenly distributed on the surface of the material to avoid local over-wetting or over-drying. A multi-point spray device can be used to ensure that each material can get uniform humidity supply and promote uniform growth of particles.
Through the coordinated control of the above multiple links, the uniformity of particles in the drum granulation process can be effectively guaranteed and the quality of fertilizer products can be improved.
