Processing flow of extruded NPK fertilizer production line

2025/05/19

The extrusion type NPK fertilizer production line, with its efficient granulation method, produces fertilizer products that meet market demand. The following is its detailed processing flow.

The preparation of raw materials is crucial. Collect various nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium raw materials and necessary additives such as binders, trace elements, etc. Conduct quality testing on raw materials to ensure compliance with production standards. According to the established formula, use high-precision measuring equipment to accurately weigh the amount of each raw material.

After being measured, the raw materials enter the crushing and mixing stage. Firstly, use a fertilizer grinder to crush the block shaped raw materials into suitable particle sizes for subsequent uniform mixing. Then, all the raw materials are transported to a strong mixer, thoroughly stirred, and the various components are fused together to form a uniform mixture.

The next step is the crucial extrusion granulation process. The mixed materials are fed into the roller extrusion granulator. In the granulator, materials are extruded through specific mold holes under strong pressure, forming columnar or strip-shaped particle prototypes. By adjusting parameters such as extrusion pressure and mold aperture, the shape and size of particles can be controlled.

The freshly extruded particles have high humidity and require drying treatment. Using a hot air dryer to evenly heat the particles and remove excess moisture. The drying process should be strictly monitored for temperature and time to prevent fertilizer particles from affecting nutrient content and physical properties due to overheating.

The dried particles enter the cooling process. Using air cooling equipment to rapidly cool down particles, improve their hardness and toughness, and reduce the breakage rate during transportation and storage.

After cooling, the screening step is completed. Use a vibrating screen to screen out qualified fertilizer particles as finished products. Particles that do not meet the particle size requirements, such as oversized particles, are crushed by a crusher, while undersized particles are returned for re granulation.

To improve the quality and market competitiveness of fertilizers, the finished granules can be coated. The coating material can be a substance with moisture-proof and slow-release functions, which is uniformly wrapped on the surface of particles through coating equipment.

Finally, the fertilizer particles that have passed the inspection are packaged by the automatic packaging system. The packaging process strictly controls the weight accuracy to ensure that the weight of each bag of fertilizer is consistent. At the same time, product information is clearly marked on the packaging bag to complete the processing flow of extruded NPK fertilizer.
