How is high-quality organic fertilizer produced?

2026/09/20

Truly high-quality organic fertilizer on the market is not merely a simple mixture of raw materials; rather, it is the product of scientific fermentation, refined processing, and strict quality control. From organic raw materials—such as livestock manure, crop straw, and kitchen waste—to the final product, which is loose, fertile, and nutrient-balanced, every step determines the fertilizer's quality and distinguishes it from ordinary, inferior products.

Raw material selection and pre-treatment form the foundation of production and rely on specialized equipment. High-quality organic fertilizer prioritizes pollution-free, high-organic-matter materials like cattle and sheep manure, straw, and spent mushroom substrate, while strictly excluding waste contaminated with mold or excessive heavy metals. After collection, impurities are manually sorted out, and the materials are fed into crushing equipment to reduce large chunks to a uniform, fine consistency. Subsequently, an automatic batching system precisely mixes carbon- and nitrogen-rich materials and adjusts moisture and pH levels to create optimal conditions for fermentation, ensuring purity and consistent quality right from the source.
High-temperature aerobic fermentation is the core process and the key to rendering the organic fertilizer safe for use. Once the materials are properly proportioned and inoculated with specialized decomposing agents, they are moved to the fermentation facility. Organic fertilizer compost turners are used to periodically turn the piles, supply oxygen, and dissipate heat, ensuring thorough aerobic fermentation. The temperature is stably maintained between 55°C and 70°C; this sustained high heat completely kills insect eggs, pathogens, and weed seeds while degrading harmful substances, thereby preventing issues such as root burn or pathogen transmission during later application. After 15 to 20 days of thorough decomposition, the raw materials are fully transformed into stable, harmless humus, completely eliminating the drawbacks associated with "raw" (undecomposed) manure.
Following fermentation, the material undergoes refined processing and granulation. The decomposed material first passes through a drum screener to remove impurities and any undecomposed clumps, ensuring a fine, uniform texture. The screened powder is then fed into a double-shaft paddle mixer, where beneficial bacteria and secondary or trace elements are added as needed to balance nutrients and enhance the fertilizer's biological activity. After mixing and blending, the material is fed into a new type organic fertilizer granulator for roll-compaction and granulation. This process transforms loose powder into granules of uniform size and moderate hardness, effectively resolving issues associated with powdered fertilizers—such as dust generation, uneven spreading, and nutrient loss. The formed granules then enter a dryer for constant-temperature drying, where moisture content is precisely controlled. Subsequently, the hot, dried granules pass through a cooling unit to dissipate heat, ensuring a firm and stable texture that facilitates storage and transport. A secondary screening process follows to isolate high-quality finished granules; fragments, fines, and substandard particles are removed and recycled for re-granulation. This ensures uniformity in size and appearance, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent packaging stage.
The entire production process concludes with rigorous quality inspection and packaging. Each batch undergoes testing using professional instruments to verify key parameters such as organic matter content, pH levels, viable microbial counts, and heavy metal concentrations. Only batches meeting all standards proceed to the packaging line for automated quantitative bagging, sealing, and coding. Produced using standardized processes and comprehensive equipment, this high-quality organic fertilizer features uniform consistency and safety. It effectively improves soil structure, enhances soil fertility, and boosts crop growth, making it an ideal choice for modern ecological agriculture.
In summary, the production of organic fertilizer is a meticulous process of "turning waste into treasure." Only through strict quality control at every stage can safe, efficient, and agriculturally effective fertilizer be produced.
