Factors affecting the granulation rate of fertilizer production

2019/07/26
Fermentation, granulation and pulverization are the three key steps in the whole process of organic fertilizer production line. Therefore, fermentation compost turning machine, fertilizer granulator and crusher machine play an important role in the production. This article discusses the problems that these three key links may encounter during the production process.

First, the granulation rate is based on the moisture, fineness and adhesion of the raw materials.
1. Moisture
The powder raw material forms spherical particles through the bonding of water. Therefore, controlling the moisture content and homogenizing the water are the key factors for improving the granulation rate of the product. The water content is low, the granulation rate is low, the water content is high, the large particles are large, and the moisture is not uniform, grain size and particle size yield are lower.
2. Material fineness
Needless to say, the natural granulation effect of the raw material fiber is rough, fragile, and poorly formed. The higher the material fitness, the better the forming effect and the smoother the particles.
3. Is the material sticky?
General raw material, animal manure (chicken manure, pig manure, cow dung, sheep manure, pigeon dung, etc.), straw (corn straw, straw, leaves, etc.), edible fungus residue, sugar residue, dregs, MSG residue, etc. Generally, the viscosity of the raw material is very low, so it is necessary to add a certain amount of adhesive filler such as Bentonite. Note that it is added proportionally.

Second, choose a suitable fertilizer granulator
For example, a disc granulator, a new organic fertilizer special granulator, and a drum granulator can be used for the production of round granules.
If you want to produce a cylindrical shape, choose a ring die granulator, a flat die granulator.
If irregular, spherical shaped granules are produced, use a roller extrusion granulator (according to the mold).
Various granulation equipments have their own advantages and disadvantages. According to the raw materials, investment costs (drying does not dry), according to customer needs, the choice of equipment is different.

Third. Equipment operation
1. If the disc granulator can pass the inclination angle of the disc body, the flatter the disc body, the larger the particles, the steeper the disc body, and the smaller the particles.
2. According to the control of the moisture of the material, the larger the particle, the smaller the water and the smaller the particle.
3. According to the rotational speed, the higher the rotational speed, the smaller the particle size, the lower the rotational speed, and the larger the particle size.

In general, the particles of organic fertilizer are not uniform, mainly due to the uneven thickness of the mixed material and the raw material fibers.
Therefore, in the process of organic fertilizer production, pay attention to the moisture and fineness of raw materials, and choose a suitable granulator to increase the granulation rate of fertilizer granules, increase the yield, and obtain better returns.
