As the core equipment in the material pulverization process of a fertilizer production line, the performance and stability of a chain crusher directly impact production efficiency and product quality. Scientific maintenance methods not only extend equipment life but also reduce failure rates, saving companies operating and maintenance costs. Mastering correct maintenance techniques is key to ensuring the equipment's continued efficient operation.
Daily maintenance should be implemented throughout the entire production process. Before starting the machine, check the chain tension. If the chain sag exceeds the specified range, adjust it promptly to prevent looseness, resulting in impact or breakage. Also, clean the feed inlet and pulverization chamber to prevent impurities from blocking components during startup. Monitor bearing temperatures during operation. If the temperature exceeds 60°C, shut down the machine for inspection and regularly add high-temperature grease to maintain proper bearing lubrication. After shutting down, thoroughly clean the machine, paying particular attention to removing dust from the gap between the chain and the liner to prevent material accumulation that could cause corrosion or wear.
Regular, in-depth maintenance ensures the durability of the equipment. Check chain wear weekly, measure link stretch, and replace if it exceeds the specified value. Check the wear of the liner and hammer head. If cracks appear or the thickness is reduced to 1/3 of the specified value, replace the parts immediately. Perform a comprehensive monthly inspection of the drive system, adjust the pulley parallelism, and tighten the connecting bolts to ensure smooth transmission. Quarterly, disassemble and clean the bearing seat, replace worn seals, re-lubricate, and inspect the motor insulation to ensure electrical system safety.
Special maintenance should be tailored to the material characteristics. After handling high-humidity materials, purge the interior of the equipment with dry compressed air to prevent moisture and rust. After crushing corrosive materials, wipe contact parts with a neutral detergent to prevent chemical residue from corroding the machine.
Proper maintenance will keep the chain crusher in optimal operating condition, reduce downtime, and improve production continuity.
