The ring die pellet machine is a high-precision extrusion molding machine. Its core structure comprises a ring die, pressure rollers, a feeding mechanism, a drive system, an electrical control system, a lubrication system, and dust/noise reduction units. During operation, the machine utilizes the high-intensity extrusion force generated between the pressure rollers and the ring die to compact and force powdered, finely crushed, or pasty materials into the die holes, subsequently cutting them into finished granules of uniform size.

Unlike traditional flat-die pellet machines, the ring die pellet machine employs a circumferential extrusion design that ensures full utilization of the die holes. It offers lower operating resistance and superior pressure-bearing capacity, making it compatible with a wide range of materials—including those with high moisture, high fiber content, or high hardness. Perfectly suited for large-scale, continuous industrial production, it stands as one of the most versatile and stable molding machines in the granulation industry. For those looking to set up a complete fertilizer production line, Huaqiang Heavy Industry offers comprehensive organic fertilizer production equipment, enabling a one-stop solution for launching operations.
Step 1: Raw material pretreatment. Fermented organic materials (such as livestock manure, crop straw, municipal sludge, sugar mill filter mud, distillery grains, etc.) are pulverized before entering the batching process. A major advantage of the ring-die pellet machine is that the material does not require drying prior to granulation; the moisture content of the raw materials can be maintained between 20% and 50%.
Step 2: Uniform feeding and mixing. Materials enter the granulator via a feeding system. Some models integrate the feeder, mixer, and granulator into a single unit, performing secondary mixing while feeding to ensure a homogeneous blend. The feeder is equipped with a variable-speed controller that adjusts the feed rate based on material moisture levels, preventing the main machine from jamming or running idly.
Step 3: Extrusion granulation. Once the material enters the ring-die granulation chamber, the combined pressure of the rollers and the ring die forces it into the die holes, where it is extruded into shape.
Step 4: Pellet cutting and discharge. The extruded cylindrical strands are cut by a blade into finished pellets of uniform size. Pellet diameters can be selected according to user requirements, with options such as 5, 6, 7, and 8 available.
The ring die pellet machine is not limited to a single type of fertilizer production; thanks to its exceptional material adaptability, it is widely used across agriculture, new energy, livestock farming, and general industry. Its versatility makes it suitable for the following mainstream applications:
This is the equipment's primary application. It processes various organic raw materials——such as chicken, cattle, and sheep manure, crop straw, mushroom residue, municipal sludge, and food waste—to produce eco-friendly organic fertilizers, bio-bacterial fertilizers, and organic compound fertilizers. It is ideal for small-to-medium-sized organic fertilizer plants, agricultural cooperatives, and environmental waste treatment enterprises.
It processes feed pellets for pigs, poultry (chickens, ducks), cattle, sheep, and aquatic animals, serving as core equipment for large-scale feed mills.
It is compatible with biomass raw materials such as wood chips, sawdust, straw, bamboo chips, and rice husks, producing high-density biomass fuel pellets.
It can be used for the granulation and molding of chemical powders, mineral powders, and additive powders, making it suitable for industrial sectors such as chemicals, construction materials, and metallurgy.

Compared to other pelletizing equipment, ring die pellet mills offer the following significant advantages:
High capacity and efficiency. Ring die pellet mills deliver high output with low energy consumption when processing materials such as compound feed—performance levels that flat die pellet mills cannot match. Their dual-die pelletizing efficiency is 1 to 3 times higher than that of traditional single-die equipment.
Superior pellet quality. The resulting pellets are uniform, smooth, and moderately hard, with a forming rate exceeding 95%. Low moisture content facilitates storage, and the pellets maintain their integrity in water for extended periods.
Strong adaptability and wide material compatibility. Powdered materials can be pelletized with little to no added liquid. Huaqiang Heavy Industry’s ring die pellet machines feature a switchable "ring die + flat die" system, accommodating diverse materials, including those with high fiber or high moisture content.
Energy conservation and efficiency. Raw materials can be pelletized directly without pre-drying. Dual-die equipment reduces power consumption by over 60% compared to traditional single-die models.
Compact structure and ease of operation. The design is simple, compact, and quiet. Integrating mixing, pelletizing, and screening functions, the entire process can be managed by just one or two operators.
No pellets produced: Check if the die holes are clear; adjust the material moisture content and the gap between the die and rollers.
Low pellet formation rate: Material moisture content is too low; increase it appropriately.
Rough pellet surface: Perform a break-in run with oil lubrication until the required surface finish is achieved.
Low output: Check if the material feed is sufficient; adjust the gap between the die and rollers to approximately 0.15 mm.
With over two decades of experience in the granulation equipment industry, Huaqiang Heavy Industry boasts comprehensive R&D, manufacturing, and after-sales systems, making it a highly recognized and trusted brand both domestically and internationally.
Key components—such as the ring die and press rollers—are crafted from high-strength, wear-resistant alloy steel using precision forging and high-temperature quenching processes. This ensures superior wear resistance and prevents deformation or clogging; the die lifespan is 40% longer than that of standard equipment, ensuring highly stable operation.
Versatile Application: Equipment specifications (such as aperture size and model) can be customized to meet specific material and capacity requirements. The granulator integrates seamlessly with auxiliary equipment to form a complete production line, catering to operations of all scales—from small to large.
Utilizing advanced extrusion technology, the equipment ensures uniform output and dense, high-quality granules. It effectively resolves issues like excessive dust and uneven particle size, thereby enhancing market competitiveness.
