They do not require the construction of fermentation troughs and can operate in open areas, greenhouses, or irregular sites, even adapting to complex terrains such as mud and slopes. It features a self-propelled design, allowing for remote operation by a single person and convenient expansion. However, its turning depth is relatively shallow, only 1-1.5 meters, limiting its capacity, and its open-air operation is significantly affected by weather conditions.
The large wheel compost turner is a highly efficient piece of equipment in large-scale organic fertilizer production. Its core utilizes a large-diameter disc structure paired with high-strength turning teeth, making it suitable for large-scale windrow fermentation. It has a wide working width, covering a large area in a single turn, with a turning depth of 1.2-1.8 meters. This allows for rapid turning of deep materials to the surface, ensuring sufficient oxygen contact and effectively shortening the fermentation cycle. This equipment can adapt to windrows of varying widths and is highly adaptable to different materials, handling both loose and moderately moist viscous materials. It boasts high stability and a low failure rate, making it suitable for medium and large-scale organic fertilizer plants. The only drawback is its large size, requiring a certain degree of flatness in the work area.
Furthermore, chain type compost turning machines are suitable for large-scale processing of highly moist and viscous materials, offering strong turning force and high efficiency, and multiple tanks can be used together. Tank fermentation equipment, on the other hand, emphasizes environmental friendliness and high efficiency, operating in a fully enclosed environment with no pollution and a short fermentation cycle, but its investment and maintenance costs are extremely high.
