How to improve the working efficiency of the flat die granulator

2025/07/23

In the fertilizer production line, the working efficiency of the flat die granulator directly affects the production capacity and cost. Mastering scientific methods to improve its efficiency can inject strong power into production.

Material pretreatment is the basis for improving efficiency. The raw materials need to be screened to remove impurities such as stones and metals to avoid damage to the pressing wheel and die plate. For coarse fiber materials, such as straw and sawdust, they can be crushed first to make the material particle size more uniform and reduce the resistance during granulation. At the same time, control the moisture content of the raw materials. Too high will easily lead to blockage of the die hole, and too low will make granulation difficult. According to the characteristics of the material, adjust the moisture content to an appropriate range to make the granulation process smoother.
Equipment debugging needs to be precise. The gap between the pressing wheel and the die plate should be set reasonably. If the gap is too small, it will aggravate wear. If it is too large, the material will be under-pressed, affecting the quality and efficiency of granulation. It can be gradually adjusted to the best state according to the hardness of the material. Adjust the die plate speed to match it with the material feed speed to avoid material accumulation due to too fast speed or idling of the equipment due to too slow speed, and give full play to the equipment's rolling capacity.
Operation specifications and maintenance are indispensable. Before starting the machine, check whether the connection of each component is firm and whether the lubrication system is normal, and ensure that the equipment is normal before starting. During the production process, keep the feed uniform, avoid too much or too little, and keep the pressing wheel and die plate in a stable working state. Clean the residual material in the die plate hole regularly to prevent scaling from affecting the extrusion of the material; add grease to the pressing wheel, bearings and other vulnerable parts according to regulations to reduce friction loss and extend the service life.
Through these methods, the flat die granulator can significantly improve work efficiency, reduce downtime, and reduce production costs while stabilizing granulation. Both small and medium-sized processing plants and large production lines can benefit from it, making granule production more efficient and economical.
